Add / open SWF files

There're two ways to add Shockwave Flash movies for convertion.

Adding files with the "Open Files" browser:

Click on "File" -> "Open.." in the menu bar, press <command> + <o>, or click on the [+] button to add files.

Drag 'n Drop file from the Finder, or other applications:

Select a file (or more) and drag it to the table view of .

accepts only .swf files.

Convert to SWF 8

You can convert every published Shockwave Flash Movie (.swf) to version 8. I Just change the version byte.

To convert the Flash movie file, click on the "Convert" button in the lower left corner. It's easy, isn't it?

Attention:
The source files will be overwritten!
You are using at your own risk!

Reconvert files

You can simple reconvert converted SWF files. You have not to open this files again.

Activate the "Reconvert selected SWF8 files" checkbox, select the files in the table view and click on the "Convert" button (or hit <ENTER>).

Remove files

If you want to remove listed files from the table view...

... select the files and click on the [-] button.

You can also remove all files with one step:

Just click on the [Remove All] button.

The status column

The status column shows you the current status of the added / converted SWF files.

Following states are defined:

Status: Description:
Read error! The source file is not readable or the file does not exists.
Check your file permissions!
Write error! The output file is not writeable.
Check your file permissions!
Not a SWF file! The source file seems not to be a Shockwave Flash Movie file.
Already swf8 The added file is already of SWF version 8.
You can select an reconvert this file.
Ready to convert You can convert this file.
Converted The file is successfully converted to version 8.
