Can I convert SWF 6 movies?

Yes. converts every earlier SWF movie to version 8. I just change the version byte of the SWF movie. Keep in mind, that some current Flash 7 / 8 functions are not available in older versions.

That's right. Not everybody knows to use a hex editor and it is simply more comfortable to use my tool to convert SWF movies to version 8.

I've found a bug or does not run on my system. What to do?

Please send an email with the bug/error description and/or the crash report to "".

If you not know how you can find the crash report, here's a short description:

Open the application "Console" (Applictions -> Utilities) with the Finder.
On the left you can see the a protocol files tree. Browse to "~/Library/Logs -> CrashReporter", search for "swfTo8ConvX.crash.log" and click on this report.
Just copy and paste the content on the right to the email.

Which MacOS X versions are supported?

MacOS X 10.3.x and higher.
Maybe will run on MacOS X 10.2.x, but without alternated table rows and inverted selections. Please drop me an email (), if you're able to check this.

Why can I not convert to seperate output files?

Because this is not implemented in the current version of .
If you want to use the new functions of Shockwave Flash Player 8, you don't need a copy of your published Flash movie ;-)
